Dr. Bi is the President of China Telecom Technology Innovation Center and the CTO of China Telecom Research Institute, managing R&D organizations with responsibilities in wireless communications. His current focus is on 5G innovations responsible for technologies, standards and trials in China Telecom. Previously, Dr. Bi worked at Bell Labs for 20+ years and was awarded the prestigious Bell Labs Fellow in 2002. Other awards included Bell Labs President’s Gold Awards in 2000 & 2002, and the Bell Labs Innovation Team Award in 2003.
Dr. Bi received his M.S. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University. He is an IEEE Fellow, holds 47 US patents, 63 European patents and 22 Chinese patents. One of his recent 4G innovation projects resulted in a product that was successfully deployed in 70% of China Telecom’s markets, and won the GTB Innovation Award in 2014 in London.

Dr. Didier Bourse currently holds the position of Senior Director, European R&I Programs inside Nokia Innovation Steering. He received his diploma degree in telecommunications in 1992 from ENST Br and obtained his PhD degree in 1997 from IRCOM. Before joining Nokia in January 2016, he worked for Thomson-CSF Communications (military tactical radio), Motorola Labs (cognitive radio and systems) and Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs (European research cooperations). He has been key contributor to the Future Internet PPP programme pre-definition, the Future Internet Assembly Steering Committee, the EIT KIC ICT Labs proposal building and the 5G Infrastructure PPP programme pre-definition. He is actively engaged in the 5G Infrastructure PPP internal and external strategy definition (incl. implementation) and is chairing the PPP Technology Board and the Trials Working Group. He is also member of EuCNC Steering Committee and is chairing the DigitalEurope DTI R&I Working Group. He has numerous publications and patents in the areas of communications.

Yongsun has a background of semiconductor and telecommunication area. He’s been driving telecommunication businesses at Intel Corporation as Samsung account manager in Seoul Korea and Telecom Server Marketing Manager at Portland Oregon US. Earlier in his carrier, he was an engineer designing routers and switches at Ssangyong Information and Communications Corp.

Chaobin Yang currently serves as President of 5G Product Line and is responsible for strategic planning, development and delivery of Huawei's 5G solutions, bringing the next generation of wireless technology to a hyper-connected society.
Prior to this role, Mr. Yang was Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Huawei Wireless Network Product Line where he was responsible for strategic planning and marketing activities for Huawei's wireless product portfolio. Mr. Yang led the planning and R&D teams and collaborated with key industry partners worldwide to promote the healthy development of the industry chain and universal applications, accelerating the proliferation of 3G and 4G networks. He was also the founder of Huawei's Mobile Innovation Center, and inventor of the industry pioneering SingleRAN solution.
Mr. Yang joined Huawei in 1998, working on UMTS signal processing algorithms. In 2000, he became the head of Huawei Wireless Research, where he made significant contributions to the evolution of WCDMA/HSPA/LTE. From 2008 to 2011, He served as the head of Huawei's LTE Product Line and Huawei’s R&D center in Sweden.

Since 1992, Yukihiko Okumura has been engaged in the research, standardization and development of wideband/broadband mobile radio communication technologies, terminals and systems, at NTT DOCOMO, INC., Kanagawa, Japan. He is currently engaged in the research of 5G radio access technologies and is promoting field trials of 5G system.
He is a leader of 5G Radio Access Network Research Group, Research Laboratories, NTT DOCOMO, INC., and a leader of 5G Trial Promotion Group, the Fifth Generation Mobile Communications Promotion (5GMF)

Dr. Wonil Roh is currently a Vice President and Head of Communications Research Group at Samsung Electronics Corp in Korea, responsible for research and development of next generation mobile communications technologies. He started working at Samsung Electronics in 2003 in research and development of CDMA and Mobile WiMAX base-stations with the main focus on multi-antenna algorithms and system analysis. Then he led overall WiMAX standard activities and strategy in Samsung including IEEE, the WiMAX Forum and ITU-R, and served as Chair of Technical Working Group (TWG) of the WiMAX Forum from 2006 to 2011. Since 2011, he has been leading research efforts for the next generation cellular (5G) technologies with a focus on development of disruptive technologies and feasibility studies.
Dr. Roh holds a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University in USA.

Luciano Leonel Mendes (male) received the BSc. and MSc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Inatel, Brazil in 2001 and 2003, respectively. In 2007 he received the Doctor degree in Electrical Engineering from Unicamp, Brazil. Since 2001 he is a professor at Inatel, where he has acted as the technical manager of the hardware development laboratory from 2006 to 2012. He has coordinated the Master Program at Inatel from 2010 to 2013 and he has led several research projects funded by FAPEMIG, FINEP and BNDES. From 2013 to 2015 he was a visiting researcher at the Technical University of Dresden in the Vodafone Chair Mobile Communications Systems, where he has developed his post-doctoral program sponsored by CNPq under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr. h.c. Gerhard Fettweis. Since 2015, he has acted as the Research Coordinator of the Radiocommunication Reference Center at Inatel, which is a research project aiming at addressing the main challenges for the Brazilian society regarding wireless, satellite and terrestrial communications. His main area of interest is solutions for the physical layer of the future fifth generation of mobile communication systems (5G), a research field where he has published several papers in the last years. He is also a CNPq level 2 research fellow since 2016. In 2017 he was elected Research Coordinator of the 5G Brasil Project, an association involving industries, telecom operators and academia which aims for funding and build a ecosystem towards 5G, improving the discussions about the Brazilian needs for this network and how Brazil can contribute with the international standardization.
