Dr. LEE. Hyeon Woo is currently a Professor at Dankook University in Korea and serving as a chair of 5G forum global strategy committee as well as TTA 5G. Standard group chair. He worked as a National R&D Program Director of KEIT (Korean Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology) under Ministry of Knowledge Economy of Korea from March 2009 to Feb. 2013. He had been work as Director and Head of Global Standard & Research Lab. in Telecom R&D Center of Samsung Electronics Co. in Korea from Dec. 1984 until Feb. 2009. He received BSEE from Seoul National University, 1985 and MBA from Sogang University, 1989, in Korea. He got MS and Ph. D degree at KAIST, Korea in 1994 and 2003 respectively.
Since 1996, he devoted himself to national and international standardization work such as ETSI, ARIB, TTA, 3GPP , 3GPP2 and ITU.

Chris Pearson is the President of 5G Americas. In his executive role, he is responsible for the overall planning of the organization and providing management for the integration of strategy and operations in the areas of technology, marketing, public relations and regulatory affairs. With more than 29 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Mr. Pearson is a recognized spokesperson in mobile wireless and 5G technology trends and has spoken at technology conferences throughout the world including CES, Mobile World Congress, CTIA, LTE World, 5G World North America, and 5G Forum USA.

Update on European 5G Activities and Status
Chairman of the 5G IA Board
Colin Willcock graduated from the University of Sheffield, UK, with a B.Sc in Phyiscs in 1986, an MSc. In Astronomical Technology from the University of Edinburgh in 1987 and a Ph.D. in Parallel Computation from the University of Kent at Canterbury in 1992. Dr. Willcock joined Nokia in 1999, and is currently Head of Radio Network Standardization. He has participated extensively in standardization activities at ETSI, ITU-T and 3GPP, and also has extensive experience of European research having led a number of European projects. In March Colin was elected as the new board chairman for the 5G Infrastructure Association.

Zhiqin WANG has been dedicated to the pioneering research and practice in the field of mobile communications from 2G to 5G. She is the Chair of IMT-2020 (5G) Promotion Group, the Vice President of China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), and the Chair of Wireless Technical Committee of China Communications Standards Association (CCSA). She was a member of 3G Technology Experiment Expert Team and IMT-Advanced Promotion Expert Group.

Executive Manager on Standardization / Secretary General, Association of Radio Industries and Businesses (ARIB) / The Fifth Generation Mobile Communications Promotion Forum (5GMF)
Kohei Satoh joined the Electrical Communication Laboratories, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation (NTT), Japan, in 1975, and transferred to NTT Mobile Communications Network, Inc. (NTT DoCoMo) in 1992. Since 1975, he has been engaged in the research on radio propagation for satellite communication systems, research and development of mobile satellite communications and mobile communications systems. After 1985, he has been also engaged in standardization activities of mobile satellite services in ITU-R and international alliance activities for IMT-2000. He has been a President and CEO of DoCoMo Communications Laboratories Europe GmbH in Munich, Germany, from November 2000 to May 2002.
In July 2002, he moved from NTT DoCoMo to Association of Radio Industries and Businesses (ARIB). He is now an Executive Manager on Standardization of ARIB, and his current job is to promote standardization activities for enhancement of IMT-2000 and IMT-Advanced and for IMT-2020 and beyond. He has actively participated in ITU-R Working Party 5D (WP5D), Third-Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), APT Wireless Group (AWG) and China, Japan and Korea (CJK) IT Standards meeting since he joined ARIB. He is currently Chairman of AWG and Secretary General of the 5th Generation Mobile Communications Promotion Forum (5GMF).

DONG KU KIM received his Ph.D. from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, in 1992. He worked on CDMA systems in the cellular infrastructure group of Motorola at Fort Worth, Texas, in 1992. He has been a professor in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Yonsei University since 1994. He was the chair of establishing 5G Forum and has been engaging its executive committee. He is now a chair of the executive committee of 5G Forum in Korea. He received the Minister Award for the Distinguished Service and Global Collaboration for ICT R&D from the Ministry of Information, Science, and Future Planning in 2013 and 2016. He also received the Award for Excellence in the leadership of 100 Leading Core Technologies for Korea 2020 from the National Academy of Engineering of Korea. He is also a recipient of Dr. Irwin Jacobs Academic Achievement Award in 2016. He was a vice president for academic research affairs of the Korean Institute of Communications and Information Systems (KICS). He is a senior member of IEEE. His current research interests are full-duplex MIMO implementation and its interference management in the tactile internet networks, and 5G V2X technologies using lens-based MIMO and its new MAC for 5G vehicular networks.

José Marcos C. Brito received his BSc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Inatel, Brazil in 1986, and MSc. and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from Unicamp, Brazil in 1998 and 2003, respectively. Since 1986 he has been a professor at Inatel, being full professor since 1990. Prof. Brito was Vice-Director of Inatel from 1994 to 2002 and Post-Graduation & Research Pro-Director from 1998 to 2002. Currently, he is the coordinator of the Master Program, Post-Graduation & Research Pro-Director and General Coordinator of the Radiocommunication Reference Center, all at Inatel. In 2017 he was elected Secretary General of the 5G Brasil Project. He has more than 60 papers published in journals and conferences in the telecommunications area. His main area of interest is performance analysys of communications networks and 5G networks
